Dr Brad Cranney MBBS (NSW) MRACGP
Dr Cranney studied Medicine at the University of NSW & obtained his medical qualification in 1979. Dr Cranney was Deputy Director of Accident & Emergency at Gosford District Hospital from 1982 to 1989. He resigned from that position to open in General Practice in Toukley.
- Visiting Medical Officer with Berkeley Vale Private Hospital since 1990 to present
Dr Cranney has a strong interest in all areas of General Practice but especially Chronic Disease Management and skin cancer detection & treatment.
Dr Cranney also enjoys teaching students of all health disciplines.
Dr Sonja Schmidt MB ChB FRACGP
Dr Sonja Schmidt has over 25 years as a General Practitioner.
Dr Schmidt has worked in South Africa and Australia and has an interest in general medicine and diabetes.
Dr Stephen Lowe MBChB FRACGP DRCOG MRCGP(UK)
Dr Stephen Lowe completed his medical school training in 2002 in the United Kingdom and worked in various specialties of paediatrics, psychiatry, obstetrics and gynaecology and acute medicine.
Stephen has been working in Australia since 2008.
Dr Lowe has a particular interest in women's health, family planning and sexual health and is also an S100 prescriber.
Dr Elspeth Fotheringham MB ChB DCH FCFP FRACGP
With over 20 years experience in family medicine, Dr Fotheringham enjoys teaching medical students and the clinical supervision of GP registrars which ensures her clinical knowledge is up to date and evidence based.
Dr Fotheringham also has special interests in children, allergy and asthma as well as all aspects of women's health including ante and post natal care.
Dr Fotheringham is a participant in the Central Coast's antenatal shared care program and is able to insert Mirenas and Implanons (which are long acting progestogen contraceptives).
Dr Vertika Azad MBBS MD DRANZCOG FRACGP
Dr Vertika Azad joined the Tuggerah Medical Centre team in 2015.
Dr Azad has attained her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and also holds a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
She enjoys all aspects of general practice and has special interests in women’s health, contraception, antenatal shared care and paediatrics as well as care of the elderly.
Dr Azad is qualified to insert Mirena IUDS and contraceptive implants.
Dr Abhijit Ray MBBS MRCGP DRCOG DCH FRACGP
Dr Ray completed his medical school training in London in 2005. He initially trained in paediatrics before specialising in general practice.
Dr Ray enjoys all aspects of general practice. He has clinical interests in chronic disease management, elderly care as well as child health. Abhijit speaks Bengali.
Outside of work he is a loyal supporter of Liverpool Football Club and is eagerly awaiting the next Ashes series.
